my ultimate spring inspiration comes from these photos. I'm craving florals, clogs, lace, crochet, soft pleats, statement jewelry, loose knits, and lots of sweets.

Express burn-out tee and black shorts, Free People necklace, Banana Republic cream knit and black flats
An outfit shot from mid-fall that i found on my desktop. This is the first outfit I wore my Free People necklace with. I loveeeee this necklace, it's so gorgeous and beautiful. I have FOUR outfits all lined up on my camera, from my mini road trip to Santa Barbara to a sunny morning before school. I apologize for my lack of update :( I reached my maximum on Flickr so I'm torn. Do I pay $25 for my year membership that has unlimited photo and video uploads? Or do I move to imgur.com? Help!

Day 17- A New Dress

New dress. Nope, I didn't buy a new dress. My mom was cleaning out her closet last night and voila! I got some new stuff from her little treasure of a closet :D One of the items was this sheer Calvin Klein tank top, meant to be layered under or over other clothing. I chose to layer this little number under my favorite floral dress to embrace this sunny Monday. My floral dress and clogs is kind of my go-to outfit when it's sunny and I'm feeling lazy. One of my favorite pieces that I got from her is a beautiful cream crocheted top with a scalloped hem o_o I ADORE it. Sorry for the suuuper boring backgrounds, I've been trying to update as frequently as possible so sometimes it means photos on campus... And it's not very pretty, but I'm trying! Also, thanks to Sarah Carmella Bumacod for always being so willing to help me take my blog photos :]
In other news, I'm feeling pretty close to ditching the 40 outfits idea. I originally decided to do it in an attempts to get myself to blog more, and it worked! I made a flickr account (to which I'm pretty sure I'll have to upgrade to pro now since I reached my 300MB limit -_-) and a lookbook account, so the idea to get me blogging more definitely worked. But I'm SO ready to nix the ugly-background-just-for-the-sake-of-an-outfit-shot thing. I'd prefer to blog as frequently as possible, but to showcase worthy photos of great outfits and artful photography. What do you guys think? :]
In addition, I'm going to be putting together a little Spring giveaway once I hit 15 followers! So please follow me! It's greatly appreciated to know that someone out there is reading this.

Day 16- Cargo Skinnies!

Happening in the Present graphic silk top, Banana Republic grey cargo skinnies and black flats, Cooperative black satchel.
I started off my day with a yummy little vanilla yogurt, strawberry, and almond honey granola parfait. Delicious. Then felt a little guilty when I got Yogurtland in the mid-afternoon... I wore my grey cargo skinnies with my graphic boxy silk tee and my favorite basic black flats. Definitely a comfy way to wear my cargo skinnies. My lovely mom got me these cargoes from Banana Republic! She's the most amazing mom in the world, I love her so much and I don't know what I would do without her. I absolutely adore that store now (thanks to my mom frequent visits to the store lol), they have the best sales, great quality clothing, and the sweetest salespeople. I never thought cargos were an attractive or flattering piece of clothing. But then, cargo skinnies were created and my perception of cargo jeans changed forever lol Oh geez, I started too many sentences with the word 'I'.

Day 15- A Day in Little Tokyo

these photos are LONG overdue. I went to Little Tokyo with one of my school clubs on March 24 for a cultural experience. Little Tokyo is one of my favorite places to go and wander the stores and shops. Sadly, it was super cloudy that day and threatening rain, so no one brought a camera for fear of the rain ruining the cameras. So I took a cell phone shot of my outfit in front of the Japanese American National Museum, then took some lame shots of my outfit at work XD We went to eat ramen at Orochon Ramen, which is where I met Dylan and Cole Sprouse from The Suite Life of Zac and Cody a year ago lol. The ramen was yummy, but a bit salty, and it came in a HUGE portion! I came nowhere close to finishing. But if you order their Special #2 (the most spicy of ramen orders o_o), the restaurant will donate the proceeds from the order to help Japan! So if you're ever in the area, pop on by and help out Japan :)

Some of my recent spring inspiration. I absolutely ADORE Carolina Engman's editorial with Momoko in LA. I love the floral maxi dresses, wide legged pants, sheer fabrics, and leopard print. Rumi Neely's effortless, undone LA style is my ultimate fashion inspiration. Her blog was the first fashion blog I ever read, and I've been hooked ever since. Her ensembles of chunky knit sweaters, thigh-high socks, and perfectly ombre hair is the perfect mix for spring– or any season in fact. And lastly, an adorable picture of Stitch and some cookies that holds its place as my desktop background to add some cheeriness to my stressful days :)
Oh and the title is from a Tyra mail in ANTM (yess it's my guilty pleasure!), which reminded me of when I heard it in a movie a couple years ago, which then referred me back to this quote by Sir Walter Scott.

Oh what a tangled web we weave,

When first we practise to deceive!
Sir Walter Scott, Marmion, Canto vi. Stanza 17.
Scottish author & novelist (1771 - 1832)
The quote refers to lies, which grow more and more complex and intricate as we continue to lie. But I also feel entangled in a weave of amazing spring inspiration! So much so that I have to keep separate sub-folders of spring inspiration photos haha
