On the Marina

Spending my day out on the Long Beach Marina soaking up the sun (under 80 SPF) and enjoying a light brunch in my new Wildfox tee. On the last Friday of July, I went out to the Wildfox monthly sample sale in LA with fellow blogger gals Jo of Cosmic Barbies and Amy of Vagabond Youth and Moon Riverr. Hanging out with other bloggers is wickedly fun. Common interests include near obsessive instagramming, time spent photographing each other's #ootds (yes I used a hashtag and a parentheses within a parentheses), snapping photos of our food until it's no longer hot, and shopping 'til we be dropping. Gotta say, I love my blogger gals.

I recently discovered a hidden gem of shops called the OC Mart Mix, which houses all sorts of quaint little boutique shops and food shops. From Portola Coffee Lab to Birdie Bowl to Shuck Oyster Bar, the store offerings are so intriguing. The Alchemistic cafe au lait at Portola Coffee Lab is deliciously astounding. As a self-pronounced caffeine addict, I must admit I've been craving another cup. From my dress to my nails, I've got a black and blue vibe going on with this outfit.

Ladylike

Sometimes it's fun to get out of my typical style comfort zone and dress up like a lady. This weekend I got polished up and ladylike for a little tea party brunch. And also, how fun is it to get your nails done? In theme with the whole ladylike weekend, I got my nails done at a nail salon. I felt so pampered and girly! It was a definitely a nice little change.
