This was by far my most luxurious night in Las Vegas. The day started off with shopping at the outlets and Planet Hollywood, leveled out in the afternoon with reading The Help on a freshly made bed, and finished off with a buffet at Wicked Spoon in The Cosmopolitan. We walked from New York New York to The Cosmopolitan and passed gorgeous chandeliers, designer stores, crowds of people waiting to get into the clubs, and giant shoes. But the highlight of the night, was the Wicked Spoon buffet. My goodness, it was delicious. Just take a look at the individual shots of each plate of food I indulged in, not to mention the plethora of desserts! They had chocolate-covered strawberries encrusted with pistachios, toffee, and almonds, chocolate-covered marshmallows, miniature desserts, citrus layered jello topped with a tiny macaron, an assortment of cookies, and mini apple pies. Not pictured, there were FIFTEEN flavors of gelato ranging from mango to salted caramel. I tried raspberry, mango, tiramisu, and salted caramel. It was delicious. They even had mini cones! Talk about luxury. My favorite food was the red curry chicken rice, ohhhhh it was to die for.

An evening in Las Vegas

Lake Mead photo diary
I spent 2 days in Lake Mead out of a total of 6 days in Vegas. It was a watery oasis, just the right distance between the city of luxury and a never-ending desert. On our first day on the lake, we were hit with a freak storm. I was out on the lake with my brother and suddenly the waters started turning rough and white, and we started get hit from all directions by hard pellets of rain. When we looked back to shore, we saw a dust storm ravaging everyone, then we saw our much-loved heavy duty canopy get picked up and blown away like a flimsy little cocktail umbrella. By the time we ran to it, it looked like a broken spider beyond repair. So we left with one less item than we came with.
The second day was a beautiful 92 degrees with calm blue waters. We had so much fun out on the water, that we forgot to eat lunch, and ended up leaving at 6PM, resulting in us losing our dinner reservation and going to eat dinner at Krung Siam, which ended up being a surprisingly nice dinner that ran until 12AM.
Even though I came back with a souvenir of skin that was just a tad too tan for comfort, my couple days on the lake were a blast!

Viva Las Vegas
Solitaire crochet top, random denim cut-offs, Aldo sunglasses, Forever21 gifted owl necklace, H&M metal and cord bracelets
For me, summer means sunshine, sunglasses, warmth, days spent on the water, and unique crochet pieces. Last week, I went on vacation to Las Vegas with my family. I adore Vegas, I've been going since I was a bun in the oven. Over the span of my 18 years alive, I've been to Vegas over 50 times. I've always loved the luxurious, relaxed atmosphere of Vegas. But no worries, I don't gamble, party, or indulge in any of the bad stuff related to Vegas, I just sleep in, shop, walk down The Strip, swim, relax, and take lots and lots of photos. On this trip, our main purpose was to visit Lake Mead to take out our jet-skis! As soon as we arrived at the lake (about 35 minutes north of Vegas), my mom and I ran around the lake to snap these shots before the 115 degree heat melted my composure off and forced me into the cool water. In heat over 100 degrees, you're sweating bullets on every inch of skin and you really don't want to eat a thing, so perfect for losing weight lol
Prior to this trip, I really didn't know how beautiful a desert background could be. If only the heat could be a bit more bearable.
With every post I make, I'm going to include one of the random little daily things that make me happy.
#1 Getting your hair into the perfect bun at the beginning of the day.
