I had been lusting over this Gypsy Junkies axel caplet ever since the June Free People 'Washed Ashore' feature with Behati Prinsloo... so I finally caved. It feels like the softest cotton tee ever with this awesome detailing on the back! If it wasn't so humid in Vegas this past weekend, I would have worn this tee every single day.
While in Vegas, I had dinner at Bachi Burger and tried the 'No Meat Here' burger. It was heavenly! For vegetarians and carnivores alike, the layers of eggplant, tofu, and greens on top of a shiitake mushroom patty and wheat bun were amazing. It had so much flavor that the meat wasn't even necessary. For the meat lovers, the rest of my group were dying over the Oxtail Chili Cheese Fries, Miyagi-san's Burger, "Banh Mi" Burger, and the Crusty Crab.

When in Vegas, don animalistic crop tops and scandalous skirts. But really, this is my interpretation of an edgy nightlife outfit for the Vegas Strip. Rawr.

P.S. I'm heading back to Vegas this weekend. I'm probably going to be on the road as you read this sentence.

My family and I decided on a spur of the moment trip to Las Vegas for some after Christmas shopping and much-needed relaxation. If you're an avid reader of my blog, you'll already know that Vegas is like a second home of mine– it's my family's go-to vacation destination because it's close enough for an impromptu trip yet far away enough to still be luxurious and enjoyable. What I love most about Vegas is the luxury that permeates every crevice of the city– from the shopping malls and outlets to the beautiful casinos and restaurants.
I'm wearing all three of my Calvin Klein purchases from the Premium Outlets just north of Vegas– a white collared blouse, gunmetal chain necklace, and a gold metallic bag. And that's not all I bought in Vegas... *guilt* I'm ecstatic about all of my Vegas purchases, which you'll be seeing a lot of in the next few posts.

Betsey Johnson polka dot midi dress, Forever21 belt, gifted dreamcatcher necklace, Banana Republic nude heels,

Let me start off by saying that casino hallways have the most awkward lighting, and awkward situations when housekeeping repeatedly walks past you taking self-indulgent photos for your beloved blog, and all you can do is avoid eye contact and try to look completely normal.

My silly brother and I :) He would never have a fashion blog, but he's a bit of an exercise nut, so maybe a workout blog. jk.

Also, happy birthday to my beloved dad! I hope you have the happiest day.

This was by far my most luxurious night in Las Vegas. The day started off with shopping at the outlets and Planet Hollywood, leveled out in the afternoon with reading The Help on a freshly made bed, and finished off with a buffet at Wicked Spoon in The Cosmopolitan. We walked from New York New York to The Cosmopolitan and passed gorgeous chandeliers, designer stores, crowds of people waiting to get into the clubs, and giant shoes. But the highlight of the night, was the Wicked Spoon buffet. My goodness, it was delicious. Just take a look at the individual shots of each plate of food I indulged in, not to mention the plethora of desserts! They had chocolate-covered strawberries encrusted with pistachios, toffee, and almonds, chocolate-covered marshmallows, miniature desserts, citrus layered jello topped with a tiny macaron, an assortment of cookies, and mini apple pies. Not pictured, there were FIFTEEN flavors of gelato ranging from mango to salted caramel. I tried raspberry, mango, tiramisu, and salted caramel. It was delicious. They even had mini cones! Talk about luxury. My favorite food was the red curry chicken rice, ohhhhh it was to die for.
