My favorite, most memorable outfits from 2011. It feels completely surreal knowing that 2012 is merely hours away and 2011 is soon coming to a close. 2011 has been an astounding, unforgettable year full of memories and experiences that I'll never forget. 2011 was the year that I turned 18, leaving behind my younger high school self to start college. So here's to an amazing year of friends, family, fashion, and thank you to all my readers. I love you all! Here's to 2012!
Lastly, the winner of my 'Giving Thanks' giveaway is... DANIELLE LUCIANO!

I'll be e-mailing you about the details. Thank you to everyone who entered!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas... with our always beautiful 60-70 degree California weather. Can you believe it's Christmas Eve? I've been completely soaking up the holiday cheer during the past week and thoroughly enjoying engaging in Christmas events. I've gone to two Christmas parties, a surprise birthday party, and a surprise birthday luncheon at Road to Seoul which turned into an all-night hangout in LA's Little Tokyo– we ate endless amounts of food and broke onto my old high school for a night of hide'n'seek.
In 4.5 hours, my family and I are going to open our Christmas presents! Then on Christmas day we're going to my uncle's house to celebrate Christmas with my entire family– aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, everyone! I can't wait, I've been gathering together my family's presents for the past few weeks now so I'm excited to see how they like them. But for now, I've gotta go join my family for my mom's Christmas Eve dinner of seafood pasta.
Thank you to everyone who entered my first giveaway, I'll be posting the winner of the giveaway in January since I'll be in Las Vegas to go after Christmas shopping (which I will also be posting about).
Lastly, Merry Christmas everyone!

Jewel Mint + Sparrows in the Dressing Room

photo-5
Cute dressing rooms always make the items you're trying on that much more appealing– thus I promptly bought those leather shorts and multi-shaded orange sweater.
I ordered the Arabian Nights Bracelet from Jewel Mint yesterday morning after receiving an e-mail with a 65% off coupon plus guaranteed shipping by Christmas. I couldn't pass up a deal like that, especially after lusting after their jewelry for so long. It's arriving tomorrow! Since I'm done with my Christmas shopping, it's nice to get myself a little gift right?
If you haven't checked out Jewel Mint, you definitely should. It's a subscription jewelry site created by actress/model Kate Bosworth and jewelry designer Cher Coulter. They come out with monthly jewelry collections, and for a monthly subscription cost of $29.95, you get 1 credit to buy a piece of jewelry. Don't like anything or feeling low on cash that month? No worries, you can always click 'skip this month' within the first five days of the month and you won't get charged. And even if you skip the month, you can still buy jewelry afterwards. Aside from the uniqueness of each piece, the best part is that Jewel Mint allows you to take a style test so that they personalize your jewelry selections based on your taste and sends you coupons via email!

Wearing my favorite fall pieces for an impromptu sushi lunch with my mom a few days ago. I registered for classes before we went out to lunch. I got all the classes I wanted, until I hit the 16 unit limit so now I have to wait until January 6 for open enrollment to try to add in the last two classes I wanted. Winter Break has been so great, all I've been doing in relaxing, catching up on Glee, NCIS, and Cupcake Wars, and pampering myself to make up for the torture of finals week.

Light Tunnel

Some quirky, fun photos from last night's spontaneous 8pm trip to South Coast Plaza to hunt down a Christmas gift. How beautiful is this tunnel of lights at The Lab in Costa Mesa? This is what I want my room to look like during the holidays– glowing with lights and happiness! Time to start the hunt for some room-worthy light decorations. It feels really great to have zero obligations and no tests to study for, it's definitely time to soak in the holiday cheer. Now I'm off to shop for some string lights to add a touch of festivity to my room.

I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH FINALS! I've completed my first semester of college and baby it feels sooooo good. I'm free to blog my heart out, go to Disneyland (if you have a pass or just wanna go, hit me up!), watch NCIS, learn how to knit, and read books for fun rather than analyzing them for facts and evidence of symbolism. Turning in that last final was amazing, I couldn't wipe that stupidly happy grin off my face. Then I went to Cha for Tea to get a celebratory almond milk tea boba– ahhh victory never tasted so good. These next 5 weeks are gonna be greaaaaaaaaaat~
These photos were from a shopping date at Fashion Island with my mom back in November. Fashion Island has an atmosphere that exudes luxurious ease. The ability to live a comfortable, indulgent life is a great motivator to study hard and score a job I love that enables me to live the life I want.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway! It ends on Tuesday 12/20, so hurry!

How beautiful are the colors of fall? The trees are drenched in gorgeous fall colors that are so inspiring for getting dressed. I'm loving my new Victoria's Secret lipstick in Cabana. It's a nice coral orange color that works well for Fall. I'm crazy crazy crazy about my new furry friend bag! I got it on sale at Aldo on Black Friday for an amazingly marked down price. It's such an easy and approachable way to work the faux fur trend.
During my Starbucks run to pick up my favorite Iced Black Tazo Tea with soymilk, the sweetest barista made my day by perfecting my tea and giving me a complimentary chocolate creme whoopie pie! I've been dying to try out Starbucks' holiday treats, so this was such a nice surprise.

The highlight of my week was receiving a tweet from Natalie Off Duty at a very early hour on Wednesday morning after 8am lecture saying that I won her NatalieOffDuty + DeJaVu $200 gift card giveaway!!! Let's just say that my yelp of excitement created a little awkwardness in the library. They have adorable clothes and the most beautiful and unique jewelry, I'm really looking forward to shopping on DeJaVu after finals week. I'm already planning to get the Wild For You jacket along with a few other things.

Don't forget to enter my Giving Thanks Giveaway! It's ending December 20th, so hurry!

I'm typically not one to opt for sexiness in my self presentation, but I'm in awe of the balance of sexiness and monochrome fall knits in this photoshoot of Ashley Smith for Annabelle Magazine. Love that burgundy color!
